On December 2, 2021 within the framework of the work of the Chinese-Russian Union of Higher Pedagogical Institutions, a scientific seminar «Reform and innovation of teacher education in the era of artificial intelligence» was held, in which heads of universities and researchers in this field from Russia and China took part. The seminar was held on the basis of the Pedagogical University of Central China (Wuhan) with the support of the Ministry of Education of the PRC and Beijing Normal University as the founder and coordinator of the Union’s activities from the Chinese side. Representatives of 7 Chinese and 8 Russian universities made presentations.
MPGU as a co-founder of the Union acted as the coordinator of the participation of Russian pedagogical universities in the seminar.
During the work of the secretariat, important proposals were formulated for the future work of the Union, including:
— carrying out joint research activities and increasing publication activity;
— creation of a networked electronic didactic platform;
— designing joint online courses;
— development of the Russian and Chinese versions of the Union website;
— preparation of a conference of rectors of universities of the Union within the framework of the anniversary events of the Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Beijing Pedagogical University, which in 2022 will be 150 and 120 years old, respectively;
— holding regular meetings of coordinators of universities-members of the Union.
