Between March 15, 2020 and June 15, 2021 documents for new MPGU invitations to the Russian Federation are not issued or accepted.

Dear students, you can apply for visa or registration extension online in advance.

If your visa or registration ends between March 15, 2020 and June 15, 2021, send copies of the necessary documents to vv.lokteva@mpgu.su

Apply for a visa extension NO EARLIER than 45 days before its expiration and NO LATER than 20 days after its expiration!

Please, write the following information in your email:

Dormitory number or apartment address
Your name in Russian
Faculty
Year of your studies
Mobile telephone number

After document submission, Passport and Visa Department of MPGU International Relations Office checks your documents, then sends you payment details (state fee for a new visa) and gives you some instructions when you should bring a receipt/a passport/a registration.

Between March 15, 2020 and June 15, 2021 Russian authorities do not take the following measures:

administrative deportation of foreign citizens from the Russian Federation or transfer of foreign citizens to a foreign state.

«From March 15, 2021, this procedure will not apply to citizens of foreign states (including persons with a residence permit or other document confirming the right to permanent residence in the territory of a foreign state), with whom transport connection was reestablished from December 15, 2020 (with the exception of «export» flights).»

EXPLANATION: The above-mentioned Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 791 of 15.12.2020 is valid until June 15, 2020, but as soon as air traffic is opened with a particular state, a citizen of this state has 90 days to either extend visa or leave the Russian Federation.

If a foreign citizen just arrived to the Russian Federation he must register and apply for 1-year multiple entry visa at MPGU within 3 days of arrival.
