September 20 – the delegation visited one of the oldest and biggest universities in Taiwan, National Chengchi University. It became well-known in the region due to the existence of the Russian language center and a Russian Department which sends its teachers to MPGU for employment and advanced training.
National Chengchi University is also famous for its academic mobility, which attracts students from all over the world. The fact that NCCU admits students from MPGU’s Institute of Foreign Languages is of paramount importance to us.
MPGU and NCCU’s plans to expand cooperation were discussed at the meeting between the rector A. V. Lubkov and the vice-president of NCCU, Mr. Shu-Heng Chen. Both sides agreed on the mutual development of students and teachers’ academic mobility and organization of joint conferences on the most important for Russian and Taiwan linguists issues.
During his visit Alexey Vladimirovich addressed those Taiwanese students who currently study the Russian language. He invited them to MPGU and talked about the Russian university.
As a result of the visit there was reached an agreement on cooperation which offers new prospects for cooperation between MPGU and NCCU.
