Moscow State Pedagogical University has strong traditions in academic and scientific research and is a proud member of number of scientific and research groups on national and international levels. The University staff provides support to scientists, organizing special research projects, international conferences and seminars. MPGU also assists in publication of research papers and articles in academic journals.
MPGU participates in many projects oriented towards innovative education in different fields, such as modern teaching methods, research in contemporary mentalities, economy and globalization, IT-technologies in education etc.
Nobel laureates such as Igor E. Tamm, Zhores I. Alferov and William E. Moerner worked in MPGU.
