Visit of MSPU delegation to Lanzhou (China)

The delegation of MSPU consisted of V.P. Dronov, first vice-rector, and V.V. Kruglov, the head of International Relations Office, visited Lanzhou on 20-24 March at the invitation of administration and UNESCO Association of Gansu province. They took part in the event within the framework of realization of Russian-Chinese partner cooperation “One belt and one road”.

The programme of events included visiting some of Universities and schools in Lanzhou: meetings with Lanzhou University rector, vice-rector for International affairs of Northwest Normal University, rector of Lanzhou University of transport.

The parties actively discussed the perspectives of academic exchanges and realization the double diplomas programmes.

Agreements were reached on joint cooperation in the educational and scientific fields, on signing agreements between universities.

A special attention was payed to the presentation of MSPU to which more than 30 directors of Lanzhou schools and colleges were invited.

The central event was international conference dedicated to Russian-Chinese partner cooperation within the framework of the Silk road initiative “One belt and one road”.

The event was attended by Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou, representatives of the Gansu Province Administration, deputy directors of the Department of culture, education, health service, science and technologies, heads of universities and other educational institutions and also experts.

The proposal of MSPU governing body of establishing of the Association of the Pedagogical universities of the Silk road was greeted with great attention.

The official part of the conference ended by signing of agreement between MSPU and UNESCO Association of Gansu Province and also the Memorandum of joint organization of trips of Russian students to summer international youth camps in China.

The events were widely covered by national and regional media.
