An official meeting of L.V. Dudova, vice-rector for Regional Policy and International Affairs, and A. Komili, vice-rector for International Affairs of Tajik University was held on 28 April, 2017. The parties discussed the directions of cooperation of both Universities.
Kurgan-Tuybe State University was founded 40 years ago as a branch of Dushanbe Pedagogical University named after T.G. Shevchenko. Nowadays it is one of the largest Tajik University with 11 faculties and 53 majors where more than 15 000 students study. The University is a member of Eurasian association of Universities.
In the centre of the discussion of possibilities of cooperation were various forms of retraining for teaching the Russian language within the territory of Tajikistan.
The following issues were also discussed: studying at MSPU the most talented Tajik students, different practices not only in the Russian language, but also in oriental studies, culturology, eastern languages, cross-cultural education; expeditions; joint publications in scientific journals, organization of conferences; use of information technologies in education, etc.
Parties agreed to conclude an agreement.
