Alexey Lubkov, University Rector, ScD in History, professor, corresponding member of Russian Academy of Education, participated in coordination commission within the framework of Committee on education and science of the Russian-Turkish Public Forum (RTPF) meeting. The event took place on 7 February in the capital of the Republic of Turkey – Ankara.
Rectors of leading Turkish Universities participated in the work of the Committee, including Erkan İbiş, co-chair of the Committee from the Turkish side, Rector of Ankara University, professor; Ahmet Chonkar, co-chair of RTPF. Russia was represented by Pavel Shevtsov, deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo; Irina Shevchenko, co-chair of the Committee from the Russian Party, professor; Alexey Erkhov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Turkey, and others. Olga Morozova, deputy head of International Relations Office, participated in the work of the Committee from the side of MPGU.
During the work Parties discussed issues related to student scientific activity, international exchanges, summer camps, social and cultural projects. Participants of the meeting visited also the museum of Ankara University.

Russian-Turkish Public Forum (RTPF) was established and works within the framework of High-Level Cooperation Council (HLCC) established in 2010 by D.A. Medvedev and R.T. Erdoğan. RTPF involves representatives of academic and business community, non-governmental, tourism, sports and religious organizations, artists and museum workers. The co-chair of RTPF from the Russian side is E.V. Mitrofanov, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
