On December, 23 2018 A. Lubkov, MPGU Rector met the Language Committee Deputy Director David Gurdzhinyan. Andrey Konovalov, Head of the Institute of Foreign Languages, Olga Morozova, Deputy director of the International Relations Office, Anna Givargizyan, Associate Professor of Fine Arts Institute and chief editor of “Zham” magazine.
A. Lubkov talked about MPGU traditions and innovations, language programs aimed to develop and advertize Russian culture and language abroad. David Gurdzhinyan, in his turn, talked about the Language Committee activity. He emphasized that Russian pedagogical universities have very few Armenian language courses and specialists in this field which leads to gradual forgetting the language. He reminded that in the Imperial Russia Armenian was taught in several higher educational institutions, such as Lazaryan, Moscow Lyceum, St. Petersburg State University etc. MPGU Rector promised that MPGU will organize Armenian language courses in the nearest future.
