On November 25, 2019 the third annual Global Educational Summit launched in Beijing, China with an agenda «Integrative development, co-creating education». GES was organized by UNESCO, Beijing Normal University, University of Arizona, bank Global Silicon Valley, IT corporation TAL. More than 1000 representatives of different universities, professional scientific and educational associations, expert communities, IT-companies, etc were invited to GES. MPGU was the only university that participated in the summit.
Key speakers were: GU Shengzu, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Steve Wozniak, Apple Co-Founder. A number of leading experts in the field of education also took place in the panel discussion: founder of «The Noodle Companies» John Katzman, former president of Hebrew University in Jerusalem Nanoch Gutfreund, founder of educational project «Minerva» Ben Nelson. The main topics of the panel discussion were balance between traditional and new educaional methodologies and technologies including on-line courses, changes in a student’s personality related to educational informatization, adaptation of educational establishments to labor markets.
At the end of the panel discussion MPGU delegation made a number of meetings with other participants — representatives of universities, educational organizations, language schools, and established a number of contacts significant for MPGU international relations.
