June 2021 was marked not only by abnormal temperatures, but also by a large number of international events. MPGU International Relations Office (IRO) took an active part in a series of videoconferences and webinars dedicated to international education, Erasmus projects, new teaching methods and development of international projects during the pandemic.
On June 18, 2021 International Online Conference «HORIZON EUROPE 2021» took place.
The moderator of the conference, Minister Counselor, Head of the EU Science, Technology and Other Policy, Laurent Bauchereau, outlined the goal of this webinar: to open new horizons for cooperation between Russia and the EU countries in the field of science and technology. Within the framework of the conference, project results were presented, namely projects for international cooperation in the field of research on carbon sequestration in agriculture, research on climate change in the Arctic for 2020.
On June 21, 2021 International Webinar «Creative pedagogy in the system of Higher Education» took place.
The webinar was organized by representatives of Russian and British universities Olga Oleinikova — head of the national Erasmus office in Russia, Tina Byrom — Doctor of Pedagogy from the University of Nottingham. The webinar actively discussed concept of creative pedagogy as a science and art of creative learning.
The final in the series of lectures was international conference “Internationalization and Erasmus Projects in Russia”, which took place on June 29-30, 2021
Olga Oleinikova acted as a moderator of the conference; Laurent Bauchereau also took part in the event. During the webinar examples of successful cooperation between Russian universities and the Erasmus program were demonstrated. Representatives of the Saratov State Agrarian University and St. Petersburg Polytechnic University made reports. On the second day of the conference projects organized in remote regions and new participants in the Erasmus program were discussed, a panel discussion «Internationalization of higher education» was held, and special attention was paid to the issue of cooperation between universities and enterprises.
Summing up the results of all conferences, it can be noted that at the moment internationalization and individual approach are important priorities in world education.
