On June 8-9, the city of Kazan hosted the International Forum of Ministers of Education, titled «Shaping the Future.» The forum brought together representatives from various countries including Russia, Egypt, Qatar, Brazil, CAR, Syrian Arab Republic, UAE, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and more. The delegation from MPGU also participated in the event.
Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the forum participants, highlighting the importance of equal opportunities in education and the transmission of values based on traditions and culture. Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov presented a report during the opening session, discussing Russia’s impressive results in international studies and participation in Olympiads. He emphasized the willingness to share the country’s experiences and learn from friendly nations.
Prominent figures such as Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov, and Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov, among others, delivered speeches during the plenary session. Sergey Kravtsov engaged in discussions with colleagues from different countries to explore opportunities for cooperation in education, including the organization of educational processes and bilateral exchanges between teachers and students.
The delegation of the Moscow Pedagogical State University, consisting of Vyacheslav Kruglov, Head of the International Relations Department, Konstantin Machulko, Chief Specialist of the Center for International Projects, Ruslan Zakharov, specialist of the Center for the Prevention of Religious and Ethnic Extremism, took part in negotiations with representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the State of Palestine and the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan.
