II International Forum «One belt-one way: education, science, culture» took place in Elista (Russia) on October 15-18, 2019. Head of the Institute of Foreign Languages Sergey Zasorin was MPGU representative at the Forum. The Forum was organized by the Ministry of science and education of the Russian Federation, Kalmyk State University, and Confucius Institute. Researchers and scientists from Russia, China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan were invited to the event. At the plenary session Mr. Zasorin made a presentation «Geopolitical aspects of the contemporary Russian-Chinese relations» and was a moderator of 3 discussion panels: «Chinese philology and intercultural communication», «Historical, political, economic and cultural development of China», «Educational and teaching issues». Mr Zasorin also signed an agreement on creation of a scientific team of universities «Language, cultural and historical aspects of sedentary and nomadic civilizations» consisting of MPGU, Kalmyk State University (Russia), Inner Mongolian University (China), Mongolian State University (Mongolia), Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (Uzbekistan), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (Russia), Irkutsk State University (Russia), Amur State University (Russia), Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
