On November 6 MSPU held a National Conference “Historic site of Soviet society” with international participation. Institute of History and Politics of MSPU held it with support of the Russian Historical Society. Outstanding scientists from across the country took part in the conference.
“Institute of History and Politics was created for quick and intense revival of researches. One of its priorities is the research on modern history and political science, to create continuity and restore relations, which are breaking down both in the country and in the world” said A. L. Semenov, rector of MSPU and an academician at the conference.
A. B. Ananchenko spoke about the goals, meaning and character of the conference “This is the first public event for the Institute of History and Politics, which was created in the MSPU October 12 this year. In addition to this, it is one of the first activities at our university and in the country dedicated to the centennial of the coming Russian revolution. The events of 1917 in Russia have a global scope and value, it doesn’t matter how a person treats or evaluates it”.
