On March 4, 2021 MPGU Rector Alexey Lubkov participated in the first Rectors’ Forum of Russia and Thailand “Education in Russia and Thailand: Dialogue with the Digital Society”. The Forum was organized by Russian Union of Rectors, Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Moscow State University.
The event was sponsored by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand and the Government of St. Petersburg. The purpose of the Forum was development of humanitarian bonds between Russia and Thailand, intensification of academic and youth exchanges between universities of the two countries. The Forum was attended by heads of leading universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities, as well as the largest universities in Thailand.
Alexey Vladimirovich took part in the remote solemn opening of the forum on March 4, 2021. Within the framework of the opening, the Ambassador of Russia to Thailand and the Ambassador of Thailand to Russia made a welcoming speech. During the plenary session,the reports of the rectors of Russian and Thai universities were presented.
