On November 16, 2020 an online meeting of representatives of MPGU and University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA) took place. MPGU was presented by members of International Relations Office, Institute of Philology and Institute of Foreign Languages. UCA – by representatives of International Relations Office, UFR Languages, Cultures and Communication, Center of literatures research and sociopoetics.
In recent years, the universities have signed several cooperation agreements, including Agreement on student exchanges. UCA students are taking part in events organized by the student MPGU Buddy Club. An Appendix regarding research and staff exchanges is in final stage of signing.
The parties got to know each other better and outlined the perspectives of further cooperation.
Elena G. Chernysheva (Director of the Institute of Philology) and Marina V. Sarapas (Deputy director) spoke in detail about the possibilities of studying the Russian language and the methods of its teaching at MPGU about the existing training programmes for students and teachers. The prospect of implementing a double degree programme aroused particular interest.
The parties agreed to continue discussion of perspectives of cooperation in the near future and at the first stage to establish a regular exchange of students and lecturers.
