Faculty of Geography was established in 1917. Now there are 6 faculty departments: Department of landscape geology and geochemistry, Department of methods of teaching geography, Department of physical geography and geoecology, Department of economics and social geography, department of ecology and environmental sciences, Department of tourism and intercultural communication. The faculty offers classes that are closely connected with tourism and hotel business, thus many graduates choose this path of professional development. Besides educational work, the faculty organizes teachers’ and students’ visits to various regions of Russian Federation, from Kaliningrad to the Far East.
