The international scientific conference of Eurasian association of pedagogical universities on the problems of pedagogical education was held on November 9, 2016 in the World Trade Centre (Moscow) within the framework of the open International humanitarian forum ”25 years ofthe Commonwealth of Independent States: mutual understanding, cooperation, development”.
More than 50 participants took part in this conference: rectors, vice rectors, heads of departments of the universities – members of Eurasian association of pedagogical universities (EAPU) from Armenia, Belarus, Kazahkstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and also the representatives from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, representatives of the executive authorities of sub-federal units of the Russian Federation. All the universities – members of EAPU had the opportunity to monitor the conference online.
The conference participants in their speeches highlighted various aspects of the current state and further development of pedagogical education in the CIS countries, including the issues of training and retraining of teachers, introduction of innovative pedagogical approaches and technologies, interaction of the Russian language and literature teachers to provide a single cultural and linguistic Commonwealth space, academic mobility of students and teachers.
The draft recommendations of the Conference were developed and approved.
