The representative MSPU delegation headed by academician A.L. Semenov, Rector, made an official visit to Armenia from 14 to 17 May to develop MSPU cooperation with Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, Yrevan State University and leading schools of Yerevan.
On May 14 the MSPU delegation visited the gymnasium “Kvant” and the school Ayb – the 1st social project in the sphere of private education.
On May 15 the MSPU delegation accompanied by R. Mirzakhanian, Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, was received by His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
The same day, the MSPU delegation accompanied by colleges from ASPU visited the memorial complex and the museum Tsitsernakaberd dedicated to the victims of Armenian Genocide.
On May 2016 a solemn meeting with vice-rectors, directors of institutes, faculties deans and heads of the departments of two pedagogical universities were at ASPU. The parties discussed the opportunities and perspectives of cooperation, outlined the main landmarks of joint activities in pedagogical and scientific spheres, started to develop joint activities and exchange programmes involving lecturers and students of two universities for the purpose of solution the problems of the development of education in Russia and Armenia. A.L. Semenov delivered a lecture “The development of education and the role of pedagogical university”.
Within the limits of this meeting there was a ceremonial signing of the cooperation agreement between two pedagogical universities.
