Russian-Korean seminar on teaching materials “Presence and future of education in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea” 2018 AKS·RAE took place at the main building of MPGU. The event was organized by the Central Academy of Korean studies (CAK, the Republic of Korea) and Russian academy of education (RAE).
The leading specialists of two countries in the field of general and higher education took part in this event. The main speakers from the Korean party were Kim Hae Soo, research assistant of the Institute of Education Evaluation of the Republic of Korea; So Sun Sik, professor of State pedagogical Univerisity of Chuncheon, from the Russian party – Alexey V. Lubkov, MPGU Rector, ScD in History, professor, corresponding member of RAE; Viktor P. Dronov, first vice-rector, academician of RAE, academician-secretary of general secondary education department of RAE, ScD in Geography, professor; Tatiana N. Vladimirovna, vice-rector for public relations, ScD in Pedagogy, professor.
The seminar was opened by Woo Yoon-keun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea.
Jeon Gonmok, vice-president of CAK spoke of Academy activities, one of the most authoritative scientific organizations in the world.
He expressed the hope that the seminar would provide the development of relations between CAK, RAE and MPGU.
A.V. Lubkov expressed confidence that both the seminar and perspective cooperation would bear fruit.
Then MPGU Rector briefed the participants of the seminar with the highlights of his report “The strategy of education development in the Russian Federation”.
Kim Hae Soo, research assistant of the Institute of Education Evaluation of the Republic of Korea talked about activities and tasks of the Institute.
The second part of the seminar dedicated to issues of digital education in Russia and Korea heard presentations of T.N. Vladimirova “Mediaeducation in conditions of digital environment” and professor So Sun Sik “Policy of digital text books in the Republic of Korea”.
Seminar members also discussed main issues of further cooperation including in the field of digital technologies support, training plans development and training manuals improvement.
In conclusion, participants thanked V.P. Dronov for good organization of the seminar.
