On August 20 2021 MPGU Rector A. Lubkov spoke at the conference on the topic of development of future educational technologies, SMART-education and new standards for synthesising IT and education in post-covid period. In his presentation Pedagogical education in the context of global digital transformation that was delivered in the section New pedagogical and sustainable development of education prof. Lubkov pointed out that digitalization is one of the biggest milestones of innovative tendencies in education. Online education posed such questions as What is the new way for education? Is it possible to return to traditional education or the only option is online format? The most efficient way seems to be a merge between offline and online education.
According to prof. Lubkov, digital education indisputably has its advantages, however has its own risks as well, such as changes in psychological behavior and lack of moral educational component. Rector suggested to add disciplines related to digitalization as well as actualizing psychology and pedagogy. It is a teacher’s personality that should be foundation for education.
