August 28 in Moscow State Pedagogical University there were the conversation with a delegation of the Government of Shanxi Province (China).The mainquestion of negotiations were education.
The Chinese side was represented by the Deputy Chairman of the People’s Congress of Shanxi Province, the Chief Inspector of National Education Department of Education (Shanxi Province), the Head of the Office of Foreign Affairs of the Government etc. MSPU was represented by the Rector Academician Alexey Semenov,the vice rector on International Affairs Konstantin Dotsenko and the Head of Department of Innovative Educational Programs Alina Urazbekova .
A.Semenov told about the history of the Moscow State Pedagogical University and noted that the university trains teachers of all disciplines. A. Huansyao estimated MSPU role in educating and training future teachers.
The Rector of MSPU noticed that the university develops relations with Chinese partners: «We are interested in hosting Chinese students and send our teachers to China. And on the contrary — send Russian students and get acquainted with the experience of Chinese teachers in Russia. »
The sides shared the information about the particular qualities of teacher education in their countries. They also attended the specifics of undergraduate and graduate programs for foreign students.
К. Dotsenko and A. Urazbekova informed the Chinese delegation on the double degree program that exists in the Moscow State Pedagogical University in 2008. Such a program, according to A. Huansyao exists in Shanxi Province.
Talking about the effectiveness of programs for foreign students, A. Urazbekova marked that the most successful in working with Chinese students was the program «3 + 1.5 «, which «allows you to pay more attention on the Russian language. As a result, students can continue their studies already in Russian.»
After the meeting, the sides had planned a course for expansion the cooperation in the exchange of students and teachers.
