On April, 12 2019 MPGU signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of education and professional training of the Kingdom of Spain. The representatives of the Embassy of Spain in Russia organised a seminar dedicated to teaching Spanish in Russia. Representatives of14 leading Universities of Spain took part in the discussion: University of Granada, University of Málaga, University of Jaen, University of Cadiz, University of Sevilla. University of La Laguna, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, International University of Cataluña, University Ramon Llull, Madrid Polytechnical University, University of Girona, University Pompeu Fabra, University Santiago de Compostela, University Islas Baleares, University of Almeria, University SEPIE. On the Russian side there were 7 Universities: RANEPA, RSUH, SFedU, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
MPGU Rector A. Lubkov announced the opening of the ceremony of signing the agreement and warmly welcomed the participants. In his speech he emphasised that the University is honored to sign the agreement with the Ministry of Education of Spain. The agreement was signed by José Aurelio Llaneza Villanueva, Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Russia and by A. Lubkov, MPGU Rector. A. Lubkov stated that relationships between Russia and Spain are growing stronger, and that MPGU is happy to contribute to this process. Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Russia cordially thanked A. Lubkov for the University hospitality and determination to build and develop cooperaton between Spain and Russia. Mr. Villanueva expressed his hopes of creation a coalition of Russian and Spanish educational institutions.
