The results of the annual ranking QS World University Rankings 2022 have been published. According to this rating MPGU has entered the group of 1201+ top universities of the world, taking 472 place on the indicator “share of foreign students”. This is a historic result for our University.
1673 universities from all over the world took part in the QS 2022 ranking. The final ranking table includes 1300 universities (48 Russian). Other Russian pedagogical universities in the ranking are Herzen University from Saint-Petersburg and Moscow City University.
The international ranking of universities QS World University Rankings compares universities according to the following six metrics: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. The fact that MPGU has entered the QS World University Rankings makes it clear again the constantly increasing international status of the University, its position as the leader of pedagogical education in Russia. This fact also confirms the correctness of the strategic line of MPGU development, inextricably linked with the increase of scientific, innovation and educational potential. All this is the result of intensive, diverse and systematic work of the entire MPGU staff, which is successfully implemented under the leadership of Alexey V. Lubkov, Rector, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education, and is aimed at solving a wide range of perspective educational and scientific tasks.
The results of the 10th annual Russian academic ranking RAEX-100 have also become known. MPGU has taken 35th place (last year – 38th) in the ranking of the best Russian universities. MPGU has strengthened its position on the indicator “the conditions for quality education” (34th place, last year – 37th), as well as “the level of demand for graduates by employers” (31st place, last year – 37th). The RAEX rating agency notes that “pedagogical universities should be recognized as the main beneficiary of the new rating: in 2021 all seven pedagogical universities improved their positions. This is facilitated by a favorable information background in this field”.
