On December 3 and 4, 2019 MPGU delegation visited Aristotle University of Thessaloniki — the only university on Europe that offers teachers’ training courses in English. Since 2017 Aristotle University School of English works closely together with MPGU Institute of Foreign Languages. Greek scientists actively participate in development and practical testing of new study guides in the English language for Russian universities and share their 70-year experience in implementation of pedagogical educational progams.
At the negotiations between Pr. Nikos Papaioannou, Rector of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Natalya Zamerchenko, Director of the Institute of International Education drew up an agreement on academic staff exchange financed by Erasmus+ program and finalized an educational model of «included education» that offers Russian students 1-year study program at the Greek university.
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the sixth oldest and one of the most highly ranked tertiary education institutions in Greece. It is the largest university in Greece and in the Balkans. There is a student population of approximately 40,000 active students enrolled at the university. The language of instruction is Greek, although there are programs in foreign languages and courses for international students, which are carried out in English, French, German, and Italian.
