MPGU and RUDN Universities were invited to take part in the 7th Interpaliamentary Forum “Russia-Tadzhikistan: potential for interregional cooperation”. The plenary session was dedicated to discussion of issues of interregional cooperation between Russia and Tadzhikistan.
Olga Y. Vasilieva, Minister of Education of Russia, and Rakhmatulo M. Mirorboyev, Vice-minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan, emphasized necessity of interparilamentary dialogue as means to reach mutually beneficial educational and humanitarian partnership between both countries. Tajik and Russian academic community has a list of educational projects and goals, among which are the following: extension of the number of Russian schools in Tajikistan, successful performance of Russian teachers in Tajik schools, increase in enrolment quotas for Tajik students in Russian universities, development of inter-institutional collaboration etc. In-depth discussion was dedicated to issues of equipping specialized Tajik schools with educational literature in Russian, training and re-training of teachers, introducing of distance learning technologies and e-learning.
As an answer to the request from the Forum organizers, MPGU made a presentation on the large-scale educational retreat in Tajikistan that took place in June 2017. According to the results of the Summer School and activities carried out by Russian Scientific Humanitarian Expedition, more than 300 Tajik educational specialist, school teachers of the Russian language among them, participated in advanced professional training programme.
