In December MSPU Rector Alexey Lubkov met with the students of “MSPU Buddy club”. The club was created a year ago and it is aimed toward the integration of foreign students studying in the university. During the year of the existence of MSPU Buddy club, various events were held dedicated to the adaptation of foreigners in Russia: meetings, festivals, excursions, round tables and concerts.
MSPU students were actively involved in all-university events, such as the Mother Language Day and celebrating the 145th anniversary of the University. All students who arrived under exchange programs, were under the untiring care of the club’s curators. Since the autumn of 2017, Buddy Club began to work with students of the preparatory faculty of the Moscow Pedagogical State University.
At the meeting with the Rector, the students demonstrated what they have learned during this year, share ideas and projects of the club’s development. Students from China, Vietnam and Romania spoke about the most difficult moments of life in Russia, shared their advice on how benefit a system for supervising foreigners according to the similar experience in European universities.
In the final part of the event the rector of Moscow Pedagogical State University A. Lubkov spoke of importance of foreign students in the international life of the university.
After the official part, a tea party and a New Year celebration took place. In an informal setting, students were able to get to know each other and discuss the plan for the upcoming work in the new semester.
