On November, 16 representatives from the Embassy of France in Moscow and Institut Francais de Russie paid a visit to MPGU. Viktor P. Dronov, First Vice-Rector, Sergey A. Zasorin, director of the Institute of Foreign Languages, Irina V. Kharitonova, Head of the Department of Romanic languages, Viacheslav V. Kruglov, Head of International Relations Office, Olga A. Morozova, Deputy Head of International Relations Office and Nataliia M. Bulashova, Head Translator welcomed Claudine Mocnik, attaché for cooperation in the field of education and the French language and Evgenia Bernigo, project manager of Relations Office.
The parties discussed possibilities for future cooperation between MPGU and French educational institutions. MPGU already has agreements with a number of institutions: University of Caen Normandy, University Clermont Auvergne, University of Franche-Comté. The agreement between MPGU and the Embassy of France signed in 2016 allowed MPGU to join the network of language partners of the Embassy.
MPGU representatives outlined the future events aiming to promote the French language in MPGU: French classes at the Institute of Foreign Languages, Institute of Childhood, Faculty of Geography, international conferences and joint scientific research etc. Embassy representatives , in their turn, talked about the potential MPGU partners. At the end of the meeting the parties discussed future cooperation in the spheres of research and education.
