On October 28, 2021 the 6th Congress of Teachers and Educators of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) «CIS Educational Space as a Strategic Source of Sustainable Development» was held at the National Library of Tajikistan. Also, within the framework of this event, on October 29, the first Festival of pedagogical skills of teachers and educators of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held, which was attended by teachers and educators from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The main purpose of the VI Congress of Teachers and Educational Workers of the Commonwealth of Independent States is to create conditions for the development of integration processes, an active search for new forms and mechanisms, interaction in the field of education and, most importantly, the exchange of experience and the development of the education sector of the CIS member states.
The opening ceremony of the congress began with a welcoming speech by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan — I.M. Saidali. Then the plenary session continued with the speeches of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan — S.M. Amonzoda, heads of the Union ministries, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
On the Forum 19 teachers and educators from the CIS countries who have made a significant contribution to the development of the common educational space of the Commonwealth were awarded the title «Excellence in Education of the Commonwealth of Independent States» and were awarded lapel medals. Among the specially noted — Rector of Moscow Pedagogical State University A. Lubkov.
The final stage of the Congress’s work was the adoption of a resolution, which reflected the spheres and methods of interaction, defined a strategy and promising tools for the development of education in the CIS.
The congress of teachers and educators of the CIS is held every two years and contributes to the development of integration processes, an active search for new forms and mechanisms of cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of education.
