The journal was established by Yury Kruglov, the Rector of Moscow State Open Pedagogical University named after M.A. Sholokhov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education.
The Chief Editor is Andrey Verbitsky, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor in Education, PhD in Psychology, professor; professor of the Chair of Labor Psychology and Psychological Consulting of Moscow State University of Education; awarded by K.D. Ushinsky Medal and the Golden Medal of the Russian Academy of Education.
The mission of the journal:
- Reflection of the course and results of modern theoretical, methodological and experimental research on Pedagogy and Psychology aimed at the improvement of the quality of educational processes at all levels of the system of continuous education;
- Publication of research results on Pedagogy and Psychology of education in the history of the pedagogical thought of the country and the world;
- Highlighting the processes of integration of Russian education in the educational space of the CIS countries and the world educational space;
- Discussion of topical issues related to psychological, pedagogical scientific and methodological support for the implementation of the main directions of modernization of pedagogical education in Russia.
The editorial board of the journal is guided in its activity by the principles of scientific approach, professionalism, objectivity, openness to scientifically grounded innovations in the fields of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education, keeping the ethical standards of the publication process.
The target audience of the journal is represented by local and foreign specialists in the above mentioned scientific directions, professors of universities, PhD students of foreign and Russian universities and research teams, school teachers and education managers.
