Rector of MPGU, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education A.V. Lubkov attended the opening of the All-Russian Scientific Conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Russian Revolution.Alexey Vladimirovich spoke at the plenary session with a report on the theme «The February Revolution of 1917 in Modern Russian and Foreign Historiography.»
The conference was opened by the director of the Interuniversity Center for Historical Education in Technical Institutes of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Congress Viktor Sidorovich Porokhnya. Vladislav Grosul, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, made a plenary presentation on the topic «October Revolution: Origins, Progress and Results», member of the Academy of Military Sciences of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Moscow State University of Food Production Lennor Ivanovich Olsztynsky delivered a theme «Periodization of the revolutionary process in Russia in the early twentieth century in the russian historical science» and others.
The conference took place on November 17 in Moscow at the Palace of Culture and Technology of the Moscow Aviation Institute in the framework of the First All-Russian Congress of History Teachers in Russian Universities. In total about 900 people took part in the work of the congress.
