MPGU delegation’s visit to Taiwan chaired by the rector Alexey Vladimirovich Lubkov is being carried out from September 15 to this day. This visit is a follow-up to a series of the rector´s missions abroad aimed to promote achievements of Russian pedagogical education and pedagogical science in the global educational community. Taiwan has become one of the regions visited by the rector Alexey Vladimirovich, the director of the Institute of Foreign Languages S. A. Zasorin and the Deputy Head of International Relations Office O. A. Morozova.
MPSU has a particular interest different projects elaborated by Taiwanese colleagues in the field of the methods of early education as well as educational methodologies developed for school pupils of all ages who study different subjects in English. Moreover MPGU is willing to learn from the experience of Taiwanese educational institutions, particularly the practical application of technology in educational process.
September 17 – the delegation visited a very well known in Taiwan secondary school situated in Nantou county (Shueili district). There the delegation was presented the latest methods of general subjects education of pupils belonging to different age groups within the framework of general education digitalization and developing fluency in English.
September 18 – the delegation had a meeting with the National Taichung University of Education. NTCU was founded in 1899 and is one of the regional leaders in pedagogical education. As a result of the negotiations the MSPU rector, Mr. A. V. Lubkov and the NTCU president, Mr. Ru-Jer Wang, signed a framework cooperation agreement which opens up new opportunities to exchange both students and teachers.
September 19 – the MPGU delegation paid a visit to the National Kaohsiung Normal University, a leader in pedagogical education in southern Taiwan. NKNU received a Russian delegation for the first time, and it was our privilege and honor to be the first Russian guests there. As a result of the negotiations both sides expressed a great interest in further contact development and signed a cooperation agreement. For NKNU it was the first document signed with a Russian institution of higher education of this kind. Both sides agreed on undertaking joined activities, online conferences as well as developing cooperation plans and fostering academic mobility.
In the second half of September 19 the MPGU delegation paid a visit to National Sun Yat-Sen University. As a result of this visit both sides signed two documents on collaboration: a letter of understanding and an agreement on academic exchange.
The delegation’s work continues. We have confidence and expectations regarding a significant contributions to the cooperation between MSPU and Taiwanese universities and promotion of Russian education.
