Hellenic cultural centre was founded in 2005 and from that moment it has been headed by Mrs. Theodora Giannitsi, PhD in History, graduate of Moscow State University.
The main objectives of the Centre are the spread of Greece culture in Russia, the coordination of activities for the implementation of various programmes aimed at the development of Greece-Russian ties.
During the talks the Parties discussed the perspectives of cooperation between MSPU and Hellenic cultural centre and the need to preserve and increase of Greek culture in Russia, further strengthening and development of Russian-Greek cultural interaction were discussed.
N.I. Zamerchenko, the director of the Institute of International Education, and Theodora Giannitsi agreed to organize joint cultural programmes for MSPU students for the promotion of the Greek language and culture and about the opening of a site for learning Greek on the base of the Institute of International Education.
