The 1st face-to-face session of advanced training courses for teachers from Baltic countries “The Russian language and Russian culture” began its work on August 13, 2017 in Riga. MSPU oversees the preparation and conducting the courses within the framework of state contract with Federal Agency for the CIS issues, living abroad compatriots and international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
The courses in Latvia are conducted at Baltic international academy and have been organized with the support of Latvian society of Russian culture and International pedagogical society in support of the Russian language.
The aim of the project is creating conditions for personal and professional development of Baltic countries lecturers who teach the Russian language and in the Russian language, their methodical and psychological and pedagogical support. The programme is directed to Primary classes teachers, teachers of the Russian language and literature and subject teachers in Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian schools.
The most priority and popular areas for teachers – modern approaches to educational space organization, development of modern pupils motivation to study the Russian language and Russian culture, pedagogical technologies of work with adolescents and primary school age children, practices, modern literature in the Russian language, modern Russian culture.
The programme includes variative theoretical and practical parts: lections, seminars, workshops and discussions.
MSPU is represented by lecturers of different University subdivisions including Institute of Philology, Institute of Social Education and Education in the Humanities, Institute of Childhood, faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy as well as cultural figures of Russian-speaking Latvia. The cultural and educational programme will be a logical continuationof training session.
